PTWBA Championships 09/08/19
 
The PTWBA Championships were played over the 6th - 8th August at Dunluce
Bowling Club, with President Jean Sharpe and the ladies of Dunluce being the
hosts. There were 3 days of good bowling with some close finishes to the
matches.It proved to be a very busy time for some of the ladies who were
taking part in more than one competition.
Thanks are given to the Dunluce ladies for all their hospitality over this period,
Jennifer Dowds, Competition Secretary for organising all the games and times,
Dennis Connolly and Davy Culbertson for umpiring and the greenkeeper
for having the green set up each day.

Senior Inter Association - 03/08/19
The Senior Inter Association games were played on the 2nd and 3rd of August at Musgrave Park bowling greens.Congratulations to the ladies who represented
our Association who won their three games to become the 2019 champions.
Well done to you all!

Atlantic Rim - 23/05/19
Congratulations to Sarah Jane Curran and Shauna O'Neill who have represented
Ireland at the Atlantic Championships in Cardiff, 10-23 May 2019.
Shauna along with Ashleigh Rainey and Courtney Wright won a Bronze medal in the Triples.
Well done to all of the ladies who tool part.
 
 
 
PTWBA Flag Unfurling

The PTWBA flag was unfurled by the President, Jean Sharpe, on Thursday
the 11th April at the Dunluce Bowling Club.
The Irish Women’s Bowling Association President, Valerie Irwin and the Presidents
from the other Ladies Associations were all in attendance.
After the unfurling some ladies went on the green to enjoy the sunshine, and play in a competition.
Afterwards everyone was entertained to a lovely meal served in Dunluce Presbyterian
Church hall.

 
 
Information (April)
At an extraordinary AGM on the 20th March a new bowling club Brook Green was added to the association. We wish the ladies of the club well in their first season.
 
The association also agreed that men could play in League and Cup games with the following provisos -
 
There will be only 1 man per rink and he must a full member of the men's club
The man can only play lead or second position in the rink

Sarah Jane Curran and Shauna O'Neill have been selected to represent Ireland at the Atlantic Championships in Cardiff, 10-23 May 2019 along with Sarah Kelly, Ashleigh Rainey and Courtney Wright
 
They will be playing in the triples and fours competitions -
 
Triples - Sarah Kelly, Shauna O'Neill, Sarah Jane Curran
Fours - Sarah Kelly, Ashleigh Rainey, Shauna O'Neill, Sarah Jane Curran
 
Shauna O'Neill along with Catherine Beattie has also been selected to represent Ireland at the European Championships in Guernsey (September 2019)
